Renewable Natural Gas
Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), also known as biomethane is a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional natural gas. It is produced from biogas which is generated through the anaerobic digestion of various sources of agricultural and organic waste. In order to upgrade biogas to RNG, a RNG Upgrader system is used. At PlanET, we developed a modular, energy efficient solution called STATERON. There are two types of STATERON technology, the STATERON M-Series and the STATERON P-Series.

RNG has many advantages. It can be used interchangeably with conventional natural gas in existing infrastructure, appliances and applications. This means RNG can be injected into natural gas pipelines to be used for heating, cooking, electricity generation and transportation in the same way as conventional natural gas.

STATERON M-Series
Our STATERON M-Series is a packaged 3-stage membrane system where CO2 is stripped out by membranes. This uses the the principle of selective permeability.
STATERON P-Series
Our STATERON P-Series uses Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology, a widely used process in the gas industry.
